Success Via Goal Setting

Become a master goal setter. Make your business more effective by removing a few big obstacles. Doubt and confusion and fear. Effective goal setting vanquishes the doubt. It overrides fear, and obliterates limitations. If properly executed, it gives us the manageable framework for how we best use our time and talents.

Why do so many fail to get the result they want when setting goals? We listen to the doubters around us, or the doubts in our own minds. Your belief and passion toward achieving that goal has to be undeniable. Have a very clear road map. Its about taking action with your belief.

Success is a choice and discipline. It is attention to detail, consistent action that lines up with our aims, goals, and dreams. Each of us has the capacity for success, but we need to be clear about the specific results we are going for. Don’t only think about the ultimate outcome, also think about the short term goals, the steps to take to get there.

What are the relevant things we need to focus on? Don’t get distracted with time consumers that aren’t critical in our lives. Things like checking email, texting friends, social media time drainers. We are often lulled into the sense of being busy as opposed to being productive. The little choices we make throughout the day take us closer to our goals, or further away.

Reverse engineering is key. Assume you have already met the goal. Begin with the end in mind, and work your way backward. Decide to be successful, visualize it, speak it in present tense. Behave as if you are successful. Then its no longer about the success and failures you may encounter in your journey. Decide that you are successful long before you achieve it externally.
